Dear people,

since getting a hang of the facebook-like button, adding blogcounter software and a google +1 button, I seem to get an inside on how you visit, see and recept my photos, stories and travels.

Anyway I feel like you are afraid to comment your thoughts on what I post here in public. Whenever I get an email stating someone dropped me a line, my heart jumps and I get super excited. It's so nice not to write and photograph into space, but actually read and feel the people behind all these numbers.

I get a lot of feedback via email or facebook messages, but blog comments are still a rare pleasure. If your brave enough, I want to encourage you to actually post a comment instead of leaving me private messages. You can stay anonymous if you want, and critique is warmely welcome.

My better part and I decided we seriously need to polish our French due to more world travelling. Does anyone want to swap apartments later this year or in the beginning of next year or knows of a mini-chamber for cheap to rent in >>Paris<<? We are willing to stay out of hipper Paris and don't need more than a bed to sleep in. Anyone? Let me >>know<<.

I'm starting to get seriously nervous about going to Morocco tomorrow. Destracting myself by catching lightning in front of my window.

Just signed my contract and sent it out, so I feel I can finally tell what I'm doing in Morocco.

I have a consultant contract with >>GIZ<< traveling most of Morocco to visit and photo-document projects concerning migration, business, gender, environment and ressource management. This is actually what I've worked for in the past years, to do something valuable I don't have to sell my soul for - combined with traveling - and getting paid for it.

By the way, I realized that exactly two years ago, I handed in my BA thesis on media clichés in the muslim world, also the day I decided to be a fulltime photographer instead of a journalist for two years to see how it works. Ironically, today I signed the contract for my first quite big ambitious job, and it's in the "muslim world". Also, it's for GIZ, who have their training center just 200m from where I grew up. It's all a big coincidence. And I can state with pride that I will not quit being a photographer, because I found out it works well.

I'm leaving on monday for 18 days and am really excited, actually pretty swamped with organizing. Stay tuned for adventures and anecdotes from Northafrica. Yay!
